Caspio and Summit Education Initiative Pave Road to Success for Students

Summit Education Initiative (SEI) is a nonprofit in Summit County, Ohio, dedicated to increasing educational attainment so every student graduates with a plan for enrollment, employment, or enlistment. SEI collected large volumes of data from public and nonpublic schools but relied on disparate spreadsheets that were difficult to secure, manage, analyze, and share with partners, creating a need for a centralized, secure data platform.

SEI implemented Caspio’s low-code platform to build a searchable, FERPA-compliant web database that provides real-time visualizations and reports and can be securely embedded on partner sites. With Caspio’s support and nonprofit pricing, SEI now delivers weekly updates on absences, GPA, report cards and test scores, greatly improving data access and reporting while avoiding costly custom development so savings can be redirected to student programs.
