Five Guys, the fast-growing fast food franchise, needed to automate cash, credit card, and online sales reconciliation as its UK and European expansion increased daily transaction volumes. Manual processes had become too time-consuming, with separate bookkeepers, inconsistent store references, and delays between sales and lodgements making reconciliation difficult. Five Guys selected Cashbook for bank reconciliation support.
Cashbook worked with Five Guys’ finance team to build custom matching rules and reconciler logic that automated one-to-one, one-to-many, summed match, and many-to-many reconciliations, including tolerance-based write-offs and pattern-based data extraction. As a result, over 75% of transactions are now auto-reconciled, resources dedicated to bank reconciliation were cut by 50%, and Five Guys has expanded by more than 75 stores since go-live, with improved control, visibility, and audit readiness.
