Leading Benefits Consulting Firm, a New York City–headquartered provider of employee benefits and HR consulting that brokers between municipalities and carriers and delivers claims analytics, was facing a rapidly growing volume of medical, pharmacy, and enrollment data that overwhelmed its ETL pipeline and data warehouse. Caserta was engaged to assess and address these bottlenecks and to modernize the firm’s analytics stack, including a custom-designed business rules engine (BRE) and improved data ingestion processes.

Caserta delivered a three-part solution: a data-driven BRE to evaluate claim lines for diagnoses, procedures and other attributes; targeted enhancements to data loading and warehouse performance; and Tableau for self-service reporting. As a result of Caserta’s work, monthly data processing times for a typical client dropped from hours to minutes, the platform became scalable, and the firm can now onboard new clients and support business growth.
