Visualizing Connections With Grow.London & Carto

Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL), a Fortune 500 real estate and investment services firm with deep roots in London, needed a modern, centralized site‑planning tool to help clients decide where to open, expand, or relocate. After seismic demographic, economic and infrastructure changes across the city, JLL sought a solution that could process large volumes of data into accurate, up‑to‑date insights accessible to business users without GIS expertise.

Built on CARTO Engine, GROW.London is a cloud-based Location Intelligence web app that presents 10 years of historical data through interactive maps, charts and API-linked datasets across five categories: competitiveness, connectivity, markets, talent and living. The tool reduced time to insight and delivered granular, actionable analysis—illustrated by examples such as Islington’s ~£170,000 average house‑price rise (2011–2014) and a nearly 68% jump in Farringdon’s 30‑minute catchment after Crossrail—driving better site decisions, lower risk and increased investment opportunities in and around London.
