Sistema.bio designs and installs biodigesters that turn animal waste into biogas and fertilizer, serving smallholder farmers across Latin America, Africa and Asia. As the company scaled to tens of thousands of installations (35,000+ installed, reaching 220,000 people), it faced challenges visualizing and managing field operations at scale—tracking 15,000+ existing and 30,000+ planned sites—while needing market analysis, site selection and integration with Salesforce-driven workflows to optimize sales, installation, credit and aftercare teams.

Using CARTO’s platform and Analytics Toolbox, Sistema.bio connected their Salesforce data via ETL to create global visualizations, heatmaps and route-optimization tools, and enriched analysis with 11,000+ spatial datasets (POIs, mobility, demographics). The result was faster, data-driven decisions for prioritizing visits and quality audits, improved training and support, wider use of location intelligence across teams, and the ability to target hyper-local geographies to expand their sustainable footprint.
