Driving Spatial Insights for Outlet Network Optimization

Renault, a multinational automaker with a long history and nearly 4,000 dealers in France, needed to optimize its sales and aftersales outlet network. Regional managers required standardized national georeporting and granular local analysis to assess coverage, competition, and outlet-by-outlet performance to meet sales and aftersales KPIs.

Working with CARTO Professional Services, Renault deployed a custom spatial application that integrates outlet sales and post-sales data with population and sociodemographic layers and built‑in assessment algorithms. The tool provides filterable, multi-layered, granular views of sales and operational metrics, sped delivery by several months, broadened access to location intelligence across stakeholders, and is being rolled out globally to standardize processes and support future needs like tracking electric and hybrid vehicles.
