Ofcom launches one touch switching in 2015 with Cartesian

The UK communications regulatory authority, Ofcom, faced a challenge with its cumbersome consumer processes for switching voice and broadband providers, which created barriers for customers and contributed to service outages. Cartesian was engaged to help redesign these processes.

Cartesian employed an open and collaborative approach, using the TM Forum eTOM and TAM frameworks alongside a multi-year NPV model to develop and evaluate new switching concepts. Their work provided Ofcom with practical, costed options, which led directly to the launch of a simplified "one touch" switching process in 2015.
