MapAnything, a mapping, geo-analytics and location intelligence provider founded in 2009, used Carta’s cap table management platform since 2016 to manage equity for over 150 stakeholders. During MapAnything’s acquisition by Salesforce, the acquirer needed to verify every shareholder’s ownership—an often months‑long due diligence task that Carta’s real‑time cap table made far simpler.

MapAnything granted the Salesforce M&A team access to their Carta cap table so both parties could audit records, find and fix clerical errors, and run security reporting without hunting paper certificates. By using Carta, the teams completed an on‑platform audit, eliminated back‑and‑forth, sped the due diligence process, and enabled a prompt closing—culminating in MapAnything’s acquisition by Salesforce in May 2019.
