Pickering Manor Senior Living Facility wins Best Mechanical System with Carrier

The customer, Pickering Manor Senior Living Facility, required new HVAC equipment for a new addition and a more precise control system for its renovated facility to manage its entire heating, ventilating, and air-conditioning system. To meet this challenge, they worked with vendor Carrier Global, whose contractor and distributor recommended a solution involving the Carrier i-Vu building automation system and VRF systems.

The solution implemented by Carrier Global involved integrating the i-Vu building automation system to manage existing equipment and installing a new variable refrigerant flow (VRF) system for the addition. This provided the facility with real-time remote monitoring, control, and alarms. The project was so successful that it won the 2021 ABC Eagle Award for "Best Mechanical System" in its category.
