Escondido Union School District modernizes 500 HVAC assets with Carrier

The Escondido Union School District faced challenges with its aging legacy building controls system, including parts availability issues and limited integration with modern tools. To improve efficiency and create healthier learning environments, the district partnered with Carrier Global to upgrade its HVAC equipment and implement a modern building automation platform, including the i-Vu system.

Carrier Global provided a solution using TruVu dual IP controllers, which integrated seamlessly with the existing i-Vu front end, and modernized approximately 500 pieces of HVAC equipment. This upgrade by Carrier enhanced system reliability, provided scalability for future growth, and helped the district achieve its goals for improved indoor air quality and energy management without disrupting operations or requiring staff to learn a new interface.
