Carrier University Training Center cuts HVAC energy demand by one-third with Carrier Global

Carrier Global helped Carrier University Training Center modernize its training facility in Syracuse, NY. The challenge was to upgrade the controls for existing HVAC equipment at the William Bynum Education Center to improve energy efficiency, occupant comfort, and provide remote system access, which the outdated controls could not deliver.

The solution implemented by Carrier Global centered on integrating the i-Vu® Building Automation System with much of the reliable, existing equipment. This upgrade included adding temperature and CO2 sensors, creating a precisely controlled, positive-pressure environment. The project resulted in a one-third reduction in energy demand while achieving state-of-the-art comfort conditions.
