The City of Williamsburg, Virginia Increases Reliability, Decreases Capital Expenditure with Cloud-Based Phone System

The City of Williamsburg, Virginia, a government organization with about 200 employees, was running on an aging phone system that was nearly three decades old and lacked modern features, reliable replacement parts, and the flexibility needed to support city operations. The city turned to Carousel Industries and evaluated a cloud-based option using RingCentral to address the communication challenges.

Carousel Industries helped the City of Williamsburg implement RingCentral Office for voice and fax, along with RingCentral Glip and Meetings for collaboration, consolidating multiple systems into one easy-to-manage platform. The move improved reliability, added features like instant messaging and single dial, and reduced capital expenditure by shifting much of the upgrade from CapEx to OpEx while also saving money by canceling old circuits.
