Simonds International Enjoys Office 365 Success with an Assist From Carousel

Simonds International, the oldest cutting tool manufacturer in North America, wanted to improve its collaboration and communication capabilities without continuing to invest in repeated Microsoft Exchange upgrades. The Massachusetts-based manufacturing company, with about 1,000 employees, turned to Carousel Industries to evaluate Microsoft Office 365, including Exchange Online and tools like OneDrive, SharePoint, Skype for Business, Office 365 Groups, and Microsoft Office.

Carousel Industries helped Simonds migrate first from its U.S. Exchange server to Office 365, guiding the team through the process and supporting user adoption with training. The move gave employees secure, easy access to documents from anywhere through OneDrive, reduced reliance on VPN, improved sharing across warehouses and distribution centers, and kept IT from having to expand headcount. Simonds said the hosted approach was a strong long-term financial and operational fit.
