First Baptist Church uses new technology to help with basic church mission

First Baptist Church Georgetown faced the challenge of engaging non-members who visited their campus for events like the Upward Basketball program and encouraging them to return for Sunday worship services. To address this, they partnered with vendor Carousel Digital Signage and implemented a digital signage system using Tightrope Media Systems' Carousel Solo 220 players and LCD monitors.

Carousel Digital Signage's solution involved installing a network of monitors across the church campus, including a large vertical display at the gym entrance to show real-time schedules. This made it much easier for the 900-1,000 weekly basketball visitors to navigate events. The system also prominently advertised Sunday services and showcased the church's weekly video, leading to a more welcoming environment. The church reported that the digital signage has been a huge help in their communication efforts to invite more people back for services and weekday activities.
