Physical Digital achieves Nadcap AC7130/4 accreditation with Carl Zeiss

The customer, Physical Digital, a UK-based provider of 3D measurement services, needed to achieve Nadcap AC7130/4 accreditation, a globally recognized and stringent aerospace standard for 3D structured light scanning. To meet this challenge and align their processes with aerospace requirements for accuracy, traceability, and repeatability, they partnered with vendor Carl Zeiss and utilized the ATOS system of industrial 3D scanners.

Carl Zeiss provided the high-resolution and high-accuracy ATOS Triple Scan sensor and the ATOS ScanBox automated inspection cell. This solution enabled Physical Digital to successfully become the world’s first company awarded Nadcap accreditation for 3D structured light scanning. The implementation resulted in highly stable and repeatable measurements for statistical analysis and earned the company a prestigious reputation as a leader in its field.
