NEP Worldwide, a global provider of broadcast technology and production services, needed a highly flexible and scalable storage backend for its content delivery network (CDN) to manage the rapidly growing demand for digital video. Their challenge was to find a cost-effective object storage solution that could deliver both the performance for streaming and the reliability required for high-value media content.

Caringo addressed this with its Swarm object storage platform. The solution provided the necessary scalability, allowing NEP's cluster to grow to over 200 nodes and 1.25 petabytes while delivering a high throughput of 45Gb/sec. This enabled NEP to stream content directly from the object store, improving infrastructure efficiency. The result was a highly reliable system that requires minimal administration and supports NEP's high-quality service for clients like FOX Sports and RTL Videoland.
