Vanguard Improves Service Efficiency and Competitiveness with CargoSmart’s Sailing Schedules

Vanguard Logistics Services, a Hong Kong-based NVOCC with a global network spanning more than 100 countries, needed better sailing schedule data. Its operations team was manually gathering schedules from carrier websites, sales reps, and published sources, which took significant time and often produced inconsistent data that could affect quotes and bookings. CargoSmart’s Sailing Schedule Integration was used to address this challenge.

CargoSmart integrated its sailing schedules with Vanguard’s in-house transportation management system, giving the company centralized access to schedule data from more than 20 ocean carriers. CargoSmart also verified data quality before feeding it into Vanguard’s system, and Vanguard used CargoSmart’s iPhone app for schedule lookups and reliability checks. The result was improved internal efficiency, better-quality quoting and booking decisions, and stronger competitiveness through more comprehensive, up-to-date schedule information.
