Lee Health, a major not-for-profit health system in Florida, faced significant nursing staff shortages. To address this challenge, they partnered with Caregility to develop a new Virtual Nursing program from the ground up, aiming to use technology to expand the reach of their nursing team and improve efficiency while integrating with their Epic EHR system.

Leveraging Caregility's telehealth technology, including mobile carts and cloud services, Lee Health implemented a pilot program using their own nurses in a 1:10 virtual-to-patient ratio. The results were substantial, including a 20% improvement in patient satisfaction (HCAHPS) scores and a reduction in order-to-discharge times to under two hours.
