Care Systems, through its parent Planmatics, was brought in to address the labor scheduling problem with a staff level setting and scheduling optimization system.

Care Systems implemented its labor optimization solution at 21 USPS sorting centers, completing the rollout in about 12 months before entering a three-year maintenance phase. The project delivered about a 15% reduction in labor needs at those sites and helped eliminate misallocations by replacing outdated shift structures with more effective labor deployment.
