Case Study: KEB Hana Bank USA achieves robust disaster recovery and seamless failover with Carbonite

A Carbonite Case Study

Preview of the KEB Hana Bank USA Case Study

Manhattan bank shares secret to powerful disaster recovery

KEB Hana Bank USA’s New York City branch, a 70-employee financial services firm, faced strict regulatory audits and the constant risk of ransomware and data loss. With 14 physical servers and 14 TB of data that must be retained for seven years, the bank needed the ability to fail over to a secondary site at a moment’s notice to ensure business continuity and compliance.

The bank deployed Carbonite Server Backup to continuously protect its servers, replicating data to a Queens disaster recovery site and to the Carbonite cloud, and added Carbonite Availability for high‑availability access to critical servers. The combined solution enables rapid failover, frequent file recovery for human error, automated monitoring, and dependable support—allowing KEB Hana to maintain a robust DR site and meet audit and retention requirements.
