Global PC, a Christchurch-based MSP with more than 20 years’ experience, needed to onboard a new client with a large amount of on‑premises data. The project required migrating Windows 2012/2016/2019 servers into Global PC’s new Hyper‑V environment (alongside WAN, routing, firewall and Wi‑Fi changes), and the team determined that traditional backups would be too slow — they needed replication to minimize downtime.

After a demo and trial, Global PC used Carbonite Migrate’s Full Server to Hyper‑V workflow to replicate and migrate 11 source machines, executing a Saturday-night cutover with 24/7 support available. The result was a smooth transition with minimal downtime, a satisfied client, and immediate ability for Global PC to begin delivering support without days of post-migration remediation.
