BORDONARO IT is a Germany-based managed service provider (founded 2014) that runs Azure Stack services for dozens of customers across industries and manages hundreds of customer VMs. As clients moved from Hyper‑V to Azure Stack Hub, Bordonaro’s team faced slow, manual data migrations—replicating to cloud backups and pulling files by hand—which could take up to a day and a half and risked unacceptable downtime (Azure Site Recovery did not support Azure Stack).

A proof of concept with Carbonite Migrate let BORDONARO IT migrate dozens of Hyper‑V servers (and hundreds of VMs), perform test failovers, and cut restore times by about 50% (from roughly 5–6 hours to 2–3 hours). The result: near‑zero cutover downtime, faster, more reliable migrations (including Exchange clusters and Windows Server upgrades), and the ability to keep customers in production during migration windows.
