Ozinga powers 47-story Chicago high-rise with CarbonCure concrete

Ozinga, a concrete supplier, partnered with CarbonCure Technologies to provide a lower carbon concrete solution for the construction of the 300 North Michigan Avenue high-rise in Chicago. The challenge was to supply a high-performance mix design for this major development while reducing its carbon footprint.

CarbonCure implemented its Ready Mix Technology, which was used alongside supplementary cementitious materials and ConcreteAI Technology to create an innovative concrete mix. This solution enabled significant carbon savings for the project, which became the tallest high-rise built with CarbonCure concrete, spanning 47 stories and 25,000 square feet of retail space with hotel and residential units.
