CarbonCure's solution involved injecting CO₂ into the concrete mix during production, a process that was smoothly integrated within two weeks. This resulted in a 4% reduction in cement usage while maintaining product quality and performance. The implementation allowed GPC to obtain a low-carbon product certification from a Korean government agency, creating a distinctive competitive advantage. Furthermore, CarbonCure enables GPC to collect data to generate Verified Carbon Units, creating an opportunity for additional revenue.
