Case Study: Pita Pit makes school lunches climate positive with CarbonClick

Pita Pit, a participant in the Ka Ora, Ka Ako Healthy School Lunch Programme, wanted to enhance its initiative by addressing the environmental impact of its lunches in addition to reducing food insecurity. They partnered with the vendor CarbonClick to take this programme a step further towards sustainability.

CarbonClick determined the carbon footprint of a single Pita Pit lunch and implemented a solution to double offset it. This approach ensures that every lunch provided is Climate Positive, meaning it removes more carbon from the atmosphere than it produces, creating a net-positive environmental benefit.
