Case Study: VICIS creates top-rated football helmets with Carbon 3D printing technology

A Carbon Case Study

Preview of the VICIS Case Study

VICIS and Carbon Combine Technologies to Create Top-Rated Helmets

The customer, VICIS, a football helmet manufacturer, sought to create the next generation of protective headgear. They partnered with the vendor, Carbon, to utilize its 3D printing technology and materials to develop a superior impact-damping lattice structure for a new custom fit system.

Carbon provided its Digital Light Synthesis technology, including EPU 45 material and software, to help VICIS design, prototype, and manufacture a unique lattice for its helmets. This solution allowed VICIS to rapidly innovate and produce the top-performing helmets on the NFL's annual rankings, with the Carbon-printed ZERO2 Matrix models securing the top five spots in 2023.
