Juno Provides Innovative Machine Safety Solutions for FlexLink with the Carbon Platform

FlexLink, a global leader in industrial automation and material handling systems, needed a faster, more customized safety protection solution for the sharp corners of its industrial machines. The company wanted durable, eye-catching bumpers that were easier to install than standard foam alternatives and could be produced quickly to meet a tight production timeline. FlexLink turned to Carbon and its production partner JUNO.AM for help.

Using Carbon’s DLS (Digital Light Synthesis) technology and the Carbon Design Engine, JUNO.AM developed custom snap-on safety bumpers made with EPU 46 and a highly visible yellow color. Carbon helped FlexLink move from prototype to real-world testing in just a few days, then into mass production of hundreds of components. The result was faster product development, improved safety and durability, easier installation, and a more aesthetic solution than traditional foam.
