A Captricity Case Study
SEIU United Long Term Care Workers (SEIU ULTCW) runs a large “Fresh Start” back-to-school event in Los Angeles serving low-wage workers and their families and needed to capture membership and community data for its Dignity Campaign. A web signup proved ineffective—only 234 people pre-registered out of 20,616 attendees—highlighting limited technology access in the community and the need for a faster, more inclusive data-collection approach.
SEIU’s IT team created a simple paper form collected by volunteers, scanned on site, and sent to Captricity for automated processing. Captricity extracted data from about 5,000 forms with near-perfect accuracy and delivered results by the next morning, giving campaign directors immediate, actionable information and preserving momentum for outreach and services.
