Generating ROI with Guest Wi-Fi at horse-race speeds

The New York Racing Association (NYRA), which runs Belmont Park, Saratoga and Aqueduct, wanted to better engage and monetize its large on‑site crowds via guest Wi‑Fi. To add a monetization and engagement layer to its existing networks, NYRA deployed the CaptiveXS Cloud solution (from RaGaPa) to capture guest data and deliver targeted promotions across its tracks.

CaptiveXS integrated with NYRA’s Ruckus and Aruba Wi‑Fi deployments (Saratoga: 250+ APs serving 10–15k concurrent devices; Belmont: 150+ APs serving ~25k concurrent users) to provide a cloud‑managed captive portal with social login, content insertion and deep analytics. In just over a year CaptiveXS captured tens of thousands of marketable emails, delivered millions of impressions with above‑average click‑through rates, and enabled targeted promotions, season‑pass sales, app adoption and ongoing marketing campaigns that measurably increased guest engagement.
