Almeda Mall in Houston faced the common retail challenge of declining foot traffic and the need to better support its tenants and turn the property into a community destination. To engage the large share of visitors using mobile devices and the mall’s free WiFi, Almeda Mall deployed the RaGaPa CaptiveXS solution from CaptiveXS to add targeted advertising and messaging to shoppers’ mobile browsers.
CaptiveXS implemented a cloud-based captive portal and dashboard that overlays ads/offers, enables social-login WiFi, and provides real-time analytics (daily and repeat visitors, top sites, device/browser details, demographics and email addresses). The system lets mall management and retailers push time-sensitive alerts and coupons and measure reach and click-throughs—helping Almeda Mall boost event attendance, drive repeat visits, and create monetization opportunities through retailer ads using CaptiveXS.
