Viking Yacht Company, a New Jersey manufacturer of luxury sport fishing and cruising yachts, wanted to combat rising utility costs as it expanded its facilities. Working with Capstone Green Energy, the company evaluated a cleaner, more efficient power generation option using Capstone microturbines and a combined cooling, heat and power (CCHP) approach.

Capstone Green Energy helped Viking Yacht Company implement a tri-generation system with six Capstone C65 Integrated CHP microturbines, hot water-fired absorption chillers, and an mTIM control system. The project now supplies 40% of the facility’s electrical energy on-site and provides 100% of its space heating and chilled water, cutting annual costs by 25% and delivering a payback in less than five years.
