Foothill College, a 122-acre campus in Los Altos Hills, California serving more than 17,000 students, needed a reliable and efficient way to heat its Olympic-sized swimming pool year-round. Capstone Green Energy provided a clean combined heat and power solution using microturbines.

Capstone Green Energy installed four Capstone C60 ICHP microturbine systems to heat the pool, delivering dependable power and thermal energy for the campus. The system helps Foothill College maintain year-round pool heating, and an almost identical 240 kW setup at nearby De Anza College shows the same approach can also reduce energy costs.
