A Capstone Green Energy Case Study
Branford High School in Branford, Connecticut, needed a reliable, efficient way to provide cooling, heating, and onsite power for its 1,200-student facility. Capstone Green Energy, through its PureComfort trigeneration solution, addressed the school’s need for a cleaner, more dependable energy system with built-in backup power in case of a grid failure.
Capstone Green Energy implemented an integrated PureComfort system combining an optimized absorption chiller with four 65kW microturbines, delivering simultaneous cooling, heating, and electricity for the campus. The result was a clean, green, and efficient energy solution that also improved resilience by providing backup power during outages, though the case study does not cite specific numerical energy savings or cost reductions.
