AmBev - Customer Case Study

AmBev, the Brazilian beverage maker and division of AB InBev, set a goal to cut carbon emissions 25% by 2025 while improving sustainability across its large network of breweries. To support that effort, AmBev worked with Capstone Green Energy and its distributor Luming Intelligência Energética to explore on-site energy generation using biogas from wastewater treatment.

Capstone Green Energy supplied biogas-powered microturbine systems, including C65 and C200R/C200S units, that converted waste gas into electricity for AmBev’s plants. The installations generate about 449,000 kWh per month across four breweries, reduce CO2 emissions by 482 tons per year, improve power reliability, and lower energy costs while helping the facilities achieve a negative carbon footprint.
