1Life Management Solutions Ltd, which operates the ONE NK Leisure Centre in Lincoln, UK, needed to refurbish its outdated facility and replace a deteriorating combined heat and power (CHP) plant. Capstone Green Energy, working through distributor Pure World Energy, was brought in to provide a more efficient energy solution using Capstone microturbines.

Capstone Green Energy installed two C65 grid-connect microturbines with heat recovery for integrated CHP, remotely managed to simplify operations. The system now generates about 70% of the site’s onsite power, cuts utility costs by around 10% annually, and reduces CO2 emissions by roughly 303 metric tonnes each year, while supporting the centre’s wider refurbishment and sustainability goals.
