Royal Vopak, a global provider of bulk liquid storage, faced the challenge of delivering consistent service and a single customer-facing approach to its international clients across its 80 terminals in 32 countries. To address this, Vopak partnered with vendor Capgemini to implement Oracle CRM On Demand, aiming to standardize its global business processes and improve customer relationships.

Capgemini successfully implemented the Oracle CRM On Demand solution on time and on budget for 850 users. The project focused heavily on change management and process design, resulting in improved internal cooperation, faster resolution of customer issues, and the creation of a more customer-centric organization. The new system provided a single source for customer data, which significantly enhanced the collaboration between Vopak's sales and customer service teams.
