Tech4Positive - Customer Case Study

Tech4Positive, Capgemini’s internal Tech4Positive Futures Challenge winner in 2020, was created to address India’s high maternal mortality rate and the heavy administrative burden on ASHA community health workers. The team behind the concept developed Maatr, an AI-powered app designed to help workers support pregnant women and new mothers through better tracking, remote guidance, and faster access to care.

Capgemini implemented and tested Maatr with about 90 health workers in Karnataka, using predictive analytics, remote diagnostics, voice technology, and digital workflows to reduce paperwork and improve care delivery. The pilot showed strong feedback, with workers spending more time on patient support and better tracking antenatal progress; the solution is now being refined for rollout with the Agriculture Development Trust-IICARE and the Indian public health system, with a government agreement in Maharashtra signaling wider impact.
