A Capgemini Case Study
Swedbank, a leading bank in the Nordic region, faced a challenge in linking its technology ecosystem to business objectives while preparing for a major system replacement. The bank enlisted the vendor Capgemini to support this change and gain clearer control over its IT development.
Capgemini implemented its Integrated Architecture Framework (IAF) method to provide Swedbank with a model for tactical planning. This solution created an overall description of the business and its IT support, forming a solid basis for decision-making and a synchronized implementation plan. The results included a dramatic reduction in the risks of a large system change and the development of substantial information for procuring a new IT system. Swedbank subsequently adopted the IAF method across the bank, providing employees with a common way to describe activities and a much better basis for strategic decisions.
