SEAT investigates options for SAP S/4HANA logistics platform implementation

SEAT, the Spanish automotive manufacturer, was looking to keep pace with technology and understand what a move to the SAP S/4HANA logistics platform would mean for its operations. As an existing SAP user with complex logistics processes across subsidiaries such as SEAT Cupra, SEAT Componentes, and SEAT Martorell, the company needed help assessing the challenges and planning the transition. Capgemini was brought in to review SEAT’s systems and define a clear transformation approach.

Working with SEAT, Capgemini carried out a 12-week assessment of the company’s SAP landscape, workshops with IT and business teams, and analysis of migration options. The result was two detailed transformation roadmaps with quick wins, process standardization, best-practice improvements, and cost and timeline estimates. With Capgemini’s support, SEAT now has a clearer understanding of the SAP S/4HANA journey and the implications for its logistics platform.
