A Capgemini Case Study
DB Schenker, a major global logistics company, faced an unsustainable IT landscape that could not support its growing air and ocean freight volumes. After an initial failed modernization attempt, the company commissioned Capgemini to conduct an audit, which led to a completely new project to overhaul its transport management systems.
Capgemini developed and implemented a new centralized global system named TANGO, which replaced over 32 legacy applications. The solution provided full cost and process transparency from order to invoice. The result was a system supporting 12,000 concurrent users in nearly 130 countries, enabling Schenker to efficiently manage existing business and develop new areas with maximum flexibility.
