SAP S/4 HANA transformation at the Ministry of Defence

The Dutch Ministry of Defence needed to modernize its longstanding SAP-based logistics and financial operations before support for the legacy platform ended, while minimizing disruption for 17,000 users across 60 locations. Working with Capgemini, the Ministry launched a controlled transformation to SAP S/4HANA, using a tailored approach to support continuity and future readiness.

Capgemini, together with CGI and Ordina, implemented an end-to-end SAP S/4HANA delivery model covering architecture, implementation, and post-go-live support. The program has already delivered positive results: sub-projects are on time, users report improved interfaces and optimized processes, and the first large depots are running on S/4HANA with significant operational improvements.
