A Capgemini Case Study
Raiffeisen International, a leading bank in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE), faced the challenge of aligning its operating procedures across 16 different countries following a period of rapid acquisition. They needed an operations and IT strategy to optimize local operations, exploit group synergies, and achieve ambitious cost-saving and revenue goals amidst increasing market competition. They engaged Capgemini for a consulting services project to define this strategic roadmap.
Capgemini implemented a four-month strategy development project, which included conducting workshops with stakeholders from 15 countries and performing a comprehensive analysis of operations. The solution delivered a master plan with a detailed cost/benefit analysis and implementation steps, enabling Raiffeisen to target the most valuable initiatives and eliminate duplicate efforts. The project was completed on time and on budget, resulting in a clear strategic roadmap for the future and leading to a follow-on implementation project award for Capgemini.
