Rabobank, a Dutch financial services provider, sought to launch an innovative mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) called RaboMobiel to offer cutting-edge, converged telecommunications and banking services. Their challenge was to enter a highly competitive market and develop this first-of-its-kind proposition quickly without mistakes, which led them to partner with Capgemini.
Capgemini applied its "MVNO-in-a-Box" methodology to bring RaboMobiel from concept to reality in under six months. The vendor managed the strategy execution, program, and IT solution, ensuring a seamless integration with the bank's systems. As a result, RaboMobiel became one of the largest MVNOs in the Netherlands, successfully offering integrated mobile and banking services and preparing to launch NFC-based mobile payments.
