The Norwegian Directorate of Immigration (UDI) sought to find new ways to increase the speed of its asylum application processing. To understand the potential of process mining within this field, UDI partnered with Capgemini to launch a proof of value project.

Capgemini worked with UDI to implement the Celonis process mining software on the client's asylum case management data. Together, they identified a significant opportunity for improvement, with the top use cases alone demonstrating a potential annual value of 20 million NOK. Capgemini also helped establish an operating model to roll out process mining as part of UDI's daily operations, providing a scalable foundation for future efficiency gains.
