Praxis, a large Dutch DIY retailer, faced challenges in efficiently scheduling its large workforce across its diverse stores. The company sought to standardize its processes, reduce employee work pressure, and align labor hours with actual store needs. To address this, Praxis partnered with vendor Capgemini to implement RedPrairie’s advanced Workforce Management solution as an intelligent scheduler.

Capgemini configured, tested, and rolled out the new scheduler, which was implemented in all Praxis stores within a year, including a rapid four-week rollout for 80 locations. The solution provided measurable results including improved productivity, optimized labor hours, and higher sales-per-labor hour. Vendor Capgemini also helped achieve significant 'soft' results like reduced work pressure and improved employee satisfaction, while giving headquarters better forecasting and insight into store operations.
