Positioning Data and AI at the heart of operations, a successful gamble for Eramet

Eramet, the French mining and metallurgical group, wanted to make better use of the huge amounts of data it generated to improve productivity, optimize operations, and support more predictive maintenance. To address this challenge, Eramet worked with Capgemini Invent to place data and AI at the center of its transformation journey.

Capgemini Invent helped Eramet build a multidisciplinary Data Foundry team of 50 experts to develop AI use cases and algorithms, improve data assets, and support forecasting, logistics, and energy optimization. As a result, Eramet deployed several AI products that made it more predictive and less reactive, while also driving a broader culture shift toward innovation and digital adoption across the company.
