Philips, a global leader in healthcare, lifestyle, and technology, sought to define and align its Global Data Synchronization (GDS) strategy across its three product divisions to better collaborate with major retailers. They engaged the vendor Capgemini and its consulting services to help establish a joint GDS policy and select a data pool, aiming for a consistent approach to retail customers.

Capgemini facilitated workshops and utilized its expertise in GDS to align the views of the different Philips product divisions. This resulted in the creation and approval of a joint GDS policy, enabling Philips to act consistently with retail customers and add more value to these collaborations. The vendor accelerated the process by providing the necessary arguments to prove the value of GDS and the importance of internal alignment.
