A Capgemini Case Study
The Parnassia Bavo Group, represented by the sector association GGZ Nederland, faced a challenge with outdated and disappointing Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems that failed to meet the needs of behavioral healthcare providers. To address the strategic need for innovation and better IT support, they engaged Capgemini Consulting to help develop a standardized reference model.
Capgemini Consulting developed the Reference Model for an Electronic Health Record (REPD) by creating a common process model and detailed functional requirements, using the HL7 EHR-S standard as a basis. The solution resulted in a 4.2/5 client satisfaction score and directly enabled a joint procurement process where four vendors were contracted to provide compliant solutions. The model is now used by healthcare organizations for software selection and by vendors to improve their applications, significantly advancing innovation and standardization across the Dutch behavioral healthcare sector.
