OCAP harnesses technology and data to reuse CO2

OCAP, a Linde Group company in the energy and utilities sector, needed a future-proof technological solution to accurately track, measure, and control its CO2 distribution network to greenhouses. This was key to reducing excessive natural gas consumption and lowering emissions. To address this challenge, OCAP partnered with vendor Capgemini to develop a bespoke digital platform.

The solution developed by Capgemini was the MyOCAP digital ecosystem. This platform provided OCAP with comprehensive monitoring and control over its CO2 distribution, enabling real-time tracking and eliminating manual processes. The results included significant savings from automated meter readings and more accurate invoicing. Measurably, the solution facilitates the annual supply of 0.6 megatons of reused CO2, saving the horticultural sector 300 million cubic meters of natural gas and contributing to a substantial reduction in carbon emissions.
