The Norwegian Government Agency for Financial Management (SSØ) sought to modernize its outdated, paper-based systems to provide more efficient services but lacked the internal resources and expertise. In response to this challenge, they partnered with Capgemini for a transformative SAP implementation project.
Capgemini implemented a tailored SAP platform for HR and payroll services, building the agency's internal competencies from scratch. This solution enabled SSØ to become a modern service provider, now serving 250 government customers and over 135,000 employees and temporary workers. The results included a significant reduction in paper usage with over 1.2 million documents moved online and a major improvement in resource efficiency for the public sector.
